He played bit parts in television series such as Médico de familia and Periodistas until landing a breakthrough role as Marcos in teen drama Al salir de clase, appearing in the series from 1999 to 2000.
Ochandiano's performance in Broken Silence (2001) earned him a nomination to the Goya Award for Best New Actor.
