Saaheb is a 1985 Hindi movie directed by Anil Ganguly. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Raakhee, Amrita Singh, Utpal Dutt, Biswajit, Vijay Arora, Deven Verma, A. K. Hangal and Dilip Dhawan. The music is by Bappi Lahiri. It is a remake of 1981 Bengali film named Saheb directed by Bijoy Bose which was also remade as Vijetha in Telugu with Chiranjeevi, Karna in Kannada with Vishnuvardhan and Chekkaeran Oru Chilla in Malayalam with Shankar.
Anil Kapoor plays Saaheb, the youngest son of the family. He is focused on football, his passion. Due to this, everyone in the family constantly tells him he is no good. However, when circumstances demand, he gives up his kidney to fund his sister's marriage, at the cost of his football career.
The movie has catchy songs like - "Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re" and "Kya Khabar Kya Pata" - which remain popular to this day.
