SUMMARY:Afghan Rescue: The Women Left Behind (BBC World News)
LOCATION:BBC World News
DESCRIPTION:When the Taliban swept in and seized control of Kabul in August
2021\, it caused panic across the country\, particularly for women who had
challenged the Taliban's decades old restrictions on their rights and free
doms. Plans were hastily drawn up to evacuate Afghanistan's high profile fe
male footballers to Australia\, Portugal\, Albania and the UK. But BBC News
night has uncovered that around half of those on that rescue flight were no
t genuine players. Yasminara Khan reports on the plight of the women who we
 re left behind.\n\nhttps://doksite.de/de/tv/3167230_Afghan_Rescue_The_Women
