Caroline Lagerfelt

Caroline Eugenie Lagerfelt (born September 23, 1947) is a French-born American actress, long based in the United States, recognized for her roles on Sweet Magnolias, Gossip Girl, Six Degrees, Dirty Sexy Money, Nash Bridges and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Lagerfelt was born to Swedish diplomat and ambassador Baron Karl-Gustav Lagerfelt and Sara Champion de Crespigny, daughter of British major Vierville Champion de Crespigny and Nora (née McSloy). She grew up in Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium and Sweden, and attended boarding school in England. She emigrated to the United States and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

She has appeared on Broadway in Betrayal[10] directed by Sir Peter Hall, Lend Me a Tenor[11] directed by Jerry Zaks (Outer Critics Circle Award), A Small Family Business directed by Lynne Meadow[12], The Real Thing directed by Mike Nichols[13], Otherwise Engaged directed by Harold Pinter[14], The Constant Wife with Ingrid Bergman[15] directed by John Gielgud (Drama Desk nomination[16]), The Philanthropist[17], The Jockey Club Stakes directed by Cyril Ritchard[18], and Four on a Garden directed by Abe Burrows[19].

She has appeared extensively Off-Broadway in Notes on My Mother's Decline[20], Nathan the Wise[21], King Liz[22], Indian Ink[23], The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie[24], Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom[25], Moonlight, Hamlet[26], Phaedra Brittanica[27], The Creditors[28], Close of Play[29], Other Places[30], Cloud Nine[31], Quartermaine's Terms directed by Harold Pinter,[32] receiving an Obie Award for her work.[33]
